  This year's SEDC Annual Conference will be August 15-18, 2009 in Point Clear, Alabama on Mobile Bay. This year's conference entitled Capitol Hill to Wall Street to Main Street-Political and Economic Events Shaping Southern Economic Development, will feature opening remarks by Alabama Governor, Bob Riley as well as a keynote presentation by Dr. David Bronner, CEO, Retirement Systems of Alabama. During these challenging economic times it is ever more important to know and understand the interrelations of government policy, state of the economy and how they both affect our communities. This conference will address these areas and give insight into ways Southern economic developers can help their communities move forward even in these difficult times.
