University of Baltimore’s Lessons from Legends series at the Merrick School of Business presents conversations with leaders who have shown a true mastery of their business. Students, alumni and friends have an opportunity to learn from some important Baltimore legends—some of the most influential and successful leaders in the city’s history—who are sharing their experiences, career paths, successes and challenges.
The 2018 Lessons from Legends event will feature Nancy Rase co-founder and Director Emeritus of Homes for America (HFA), sponsored by the Real Estate and Economic Development (REED) program at UB. During her tenure at HFA from 1994-2015, Ms. Rase developed 75 rental communities encompassing over 6,000 affordable apartment homes throughout the mid-Atlantic. Prior to HFA, Ms. Rase spent over 20 years in public service working for Maryland’s Community Development Administration and in local government in western Maryland. Since 2015, Ms. Rase serves as principal of Nancy Rase Consulting, LLC, providing advisory services to housing organizations and public agencies involved in the affordable housing industry.
