2019 Emerging Ag Tour

MEDA members are invited to join our partners at Dorchester County Economic Development for an informative first-hand look at the emerging agricultural industry that has everyone talking…Cannabis. Maryland is leading in industrial hemp production and this tour will provide MEDA members an opportunity to see how the medical cannabis industry produces its product and hear what’s in store for the future.

9:50 a.m.        Arrive at the Eastern Shore Innovation Center (ESIC):

Parking is available in the lot.

10:00 a.m.      Walking Tour: Sunx Analytical Hemp Processing Lab in the ESIC

10:25 a.m.      Walking Tour: Peninsula Holistic’s (CBD and Tincture company) ESIC

10:45 a.m.      Board Bus at ESIC which leaves for Culta (10 Washington St, Cambridge MD, 21613)

11:00 a.m.      Arrive at Culta and register for Tour (required)

12:30 p.m.      Bus leaves Culta for Emily’s Produce Family Farm (2206 Church Creek Road, Cambridge MD, 21613)

12:40 p.m.      Arrive at Emily’s – Welcome from owner Kelly Jackson

12:45 p.m.      Eat Lunch

1:15 p.m.        Bus leaves for Harriet Tubman Visitors Center and tour

2:35 p.m.        Bus returns to ESIC – Harriet Tubman history given by Alex Green Bus driver/owner on ride back to ESIC
