What’s Hot in Other Regions Best Practices We Can Learn From

Today more than ever, successful economic development programs build on the singular advantages of a specific state or region. In recent decades, Maryland has taken advantage of its prominence in the area of technology, creating a critical mass of resources that are unsurpassed in the nation.

But we don’t know it all. From time to time, we need to step back and take a look at what others are doing. This session will take a sweeping look at innovation, research and agriculture, focusing on the best practices that Maryland economic developers can learn from our colleagues across the nation. A panel of uniquely qualified experts will share their views on what other states and regions are doing in these areas, and offer their insights into how different areas of Maryland can maximize their strengths.
