Bollinger Named Acting Director of Frederick Economic and Workforce Development
Longtime economic development professional Jodie Bollinger has been named Acting Director of Frederick County’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development.
Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner named Ms. Bollinger to the position last week following the retirement of Helen Propheter. As part of the transition, the Office of Economic Development has been restructured to focus on key areas. Ms. Bollinger will continue to lead the Business Retention, Expansion and Marketing efforts. Her leadership team includes Beth Woodring, Director of Business Attraction and Finance; Katie Stevens, Director of Workforce Development and Agriculture Business; and Michelle Day, Director of Workforce Services.
The Frederick County Office of Economic Development serves as the primary contact for businesses to start, locate and expand. They do this by connecting them with Federal, State and local resources. They assist in site selection, workforce recruitment and training, incentives, marketing and more (Office’s website).
“Jodie has an excellent track record of helping Frederick County’s economy to grow even during difficult times,” Executive Gardner said. “I am confident she will continue to serve our business community well as Acting Director of the Office of Economic Development.”
According to the Frederick County Office of Economic and Workforce Development press release:
