INNO Fire Awards

In 2024, Maryland Inno will again recognize companies and/or organizations that have been leaders and innovators across the state. Join us for a morning celebration of innovation and technology focusing on industry leaders, innovators, and enthusiasts coming together to share knowledge, forge connections, and celebrate the transformative power of innovation and technology.

Ticket packages and individual tickets are available now! Please note the deadline to register for this event (for both individual tickets and packages) is Monday, July 8, 2024. Walk-ins will not be accepted. 

The Event and Key Things to Know:

EVENT AGENDA:

• 10:00 AM: Check-in and Networking (light food will be served)
• 10:30-11:00 AM: Panel Discussion (see panelist information below)
• 11:00-11:30 AM: Awards Program (see honoree information below)
• 11:30-12:00 PM: Networking

PARKING AND ARRIVALS:

Complimentary parking will be provided. All attendees must bring a valid Government ID with photo to check in with building security.

The Panel:

This event will feature a panel discussion with two local entrepreneurs who recently appeared on the hit TV show “Shark Tank”: Dawn Myers, founder of Richualist, and Marvin Montague Jr., CEO and co-founder of Meat The Mushroom. They will discuss their experiences as founders and what they learned from their “Shark Tank” experiences. See below for more details on our panelists!

The Awards and 2024 Honorees:

The Fire Awards are the premier recognition program for Maryland Inno, the Baltimore Business Journal’s tech-focused publication. Honorees are divided into categories. The 2024 Honorees are:

Medtech Category

• NextStep Robotics
• EpiWatch
• Astek Diagnostics

Ecosystems Builders

• EO Accelerator program
• BCR Cyber
• Technology Advancement Center

Automotive

• Blue Whale
• Vehicles for Change

Two honorees will also be selected for making the biggest impact of contribution to the ecosystem; these honorees will be crowned “Blazer Winners.” The Blazers will be unveiled at the 2024 Fire Awards event on July 11.

Some things we look for in selecting the Fire Award winners are: new funding, adding headcount, social and community impact, product launches, company pivots, company growth and amazing stories of innovators reshaping the ecosystem. Fire honorees can include later-stage tech pillars, growth-stage startups, accelerators, venture firms, meetup groups, nonprofits, etc.
