Merritt Companies CEO Receives Two Honors during the 2024 Influential Marylanders Awards
Three-Time Winner Scott Dorsey Inducted into the Circle of Influence
Baltimore, M.d., (September 19, 2024) — Last night, Merritt Companies CEO, Scott Dorsey, was recognized as an Influential Marylander for a third time by The Daily Record at the 2024 Influential Marylanders Award Ceremony in Hunt Valley, MD. Dorsey was also inducted into The Daily Record’s Circle of Influence last night, a prestigious ranking for three-time award winners.
Since 2007, The Daily Record’s Influential Marylander awards have been recognizing local leaders who have made significant and influential contributions to the fields of civic leadership, communications, education, finance, freestyle, business, health care, law, philanthropy, real estate and technology.
Dorsey was one of five honorees who were inducted into the Circle of Influence. In response to his induction, Dorsey said, “I’m grateful to be recognized as an Influential Marylander for a third time. Our founder, Leroy Merritt, was committed to supporting the communities in which we build, and it is an honor to continue that legacy. We know that our company will only be as strong as our community.”
Dorsey joined The Circle of Influence along with three-time award winners, J. Kirby Fowler with The Maryland Zoo, Terrance Hasseltine with Maryland Sports Commission, Dr. Sandra Kurtinitis with the Community College of Baltimore County and Leslie Simmons with LifeBridge Health.
