Tri-County Council for Western Maryland Announces Executive Director

Tri-County Council for Western Maryland is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Stahlman will be joining the agency as the new Executive Director. After working for the City of Frostburg for over twelve years, and most recently as the Administrator for the last five, she brings a wealth of experience working with both the private and public sector.

“We are incredibly excited to have Elizabeth become the new face of the organization,” said Commissioner Jeff Cline, Chairman”. “She offers a new outlook and fresh ideas as we transition Tri-County Council into the future.”

Elizabeth will officially start her role on February 3, 2025. The entire team looks forward to working under her leadership and is confident that she will guide the company toward greater heights.

Tri-County Council for Western Maryland is a regional planning and economic development organization that serves Garrett, Allegany and Washington Counties.  Established in 1972 the organization just celebrated 50 years in operation. Our mission is to provide a forum for local governments and citizens throughout Western Maryland to identify the issues and opportunities that are facing the region.
