The 34th Annual Bollinger OpenBollinger Open

This year is the 34th annual Bollinger Open, to be held on June 12th at 2 0f the 3 golf courses at Andrews Air Force Base and is played as a shotgun style tournament.  Tee off starts at 2pm.  Participants are encouraged to arrive early to register, and hit balls on the driving range (balls provided.)  We have pro’s on one hole on each course (the tournament occupies 2 of the 3 courses at AAFBGC) to play with each foursome passing through.

There are prizes given out after the tournament for various games (such as longest drive, longest put, best score, etc).  We also have a raffle, where the players purchase raffle tickets and we give away nice clubs, golf attire, gift cards, etc.  There is dinner following the tournament, which is included in the registration price.  It’s a lot of fun, even if you’re not the best golfer on the course.

The Cost is $125.  25% goes to the Bollinger Foundation.

The Open has also seen its share of golf professionals participate in the past, including Ed Sneed, Nancy Maunder, Jim Talbot, M.J. Smith, Brandi Underwood, Kathleen Robinson, Janet Ortega, and Tiffany Faucette.

The Bollinger Foundation raises funds for the education and support of children who have lost one or both parents. Priority is given toward families in which either the deceased parent worked – or the surviving parent continues to work – in the field of public or affordable housing, or community and economic development.
