Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO) is a quasi-government entity established by the Maryland General Assembly. Its mission is to enhance economic empowerment by fostering an inclusive and entrepreneurial innovation ecosystem by identifying, investing in, and helping to grow technology companies in Maryland.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sales Force Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of crucial tasks related to data deployment, reporting, process support, data management, and system enhancements. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and utilization of our organization’s data to support decision-making and drive operational effectiveness. The incumbent will also work alongside various stakeholders, take initiative, and employ creative solutions to improve efficiencies within the organization’s data management practices.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support individual Salesforce processes across the organization, including:
    • Evaluating current processes against best practices.
    • Proposing process improvements and enhancements where appropriate.
    • Maintaining current process flows
    • Creating documentation around current processes.
    • Supporting the organization’s Salesforce Data Model and data collection methods.
    • Assisting in the data integrity review process for all data sources.
    • Supporting the implementation of new App Exchange software within Salesforce, such as Form Assembly.
    • Working with other applications and data sources (e.g., Azure, SharePoint, Good Grants) and integrating these systems with the organization’s data model.
    • Providing training and support to staff and users of Salesforce and other applications to improve efficiency.
    • Collaborating with third-party vendors to evaluate and implement proposed technology solutions.
  2. Data collection and management for the organization’s operations and portfolio companies, which include:
    • Obtaining quarterly reports from portfolio companies, ensuring compliance with reporting obligations as outlined in funding agreements.
    • Gathering quarterly data from the organization’s operations and programs.
    • Maintaining Salesforce data integrity and ensuring accurate data capture.
    • Providing analysis of operational programs and portfolio data, as needed.
  3. Modifying Salesforce and other data capture mechanisms to adapt to changing data requirements.
  4. Maintain the organization’s standard reporting suite for staff and external stakeholders, including:
    • Producing quarterly and annual economic impact reports, reports on portfolio and program operations, and reports associated with performance metrics.
    • Analyzing captured data based on specific requests.
    • Assisting in dashboard and report development in Salesforce and Power BI.
    • Establishing reporting standards across the organization and continuously assessing report utilization.
  5. Aid in the deployment of data through visual-based reporting software, including:
    • Understanding reporting requirements and comparing them with current reports.
    • Managing reporting requests from various departments within the organization, prioritizing work effectively.
  6.  Assisting with special projects and events, and performing various other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of – 2-4 years of experience as a Sales Force Administrator
  • Admin or Admin + App Builder certifications through Sales Force.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new software applications.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting, including Salesforce Experience Cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, VBA, or other coding languages.
