Explain your background in economic development:
This is my first time working in economic development but my background in real estate development gave me great insight into many aspects of my new role that has proven to be helpful!
What are your key priorities within your current position?
Lead internal and external communications, public and government relations, public policy, brand messaging, marketing strategy, and special events for the organization.
Does one particular project spark your excitement? If so, describe it below.
Redesigning and launching the website. This is such a huge undertaking but is a great way to redistribute important information about our organization in a strategic, easy-to-understand format.
What attributes are unique to your community?
534 miles of coastline, tech hub, BWI, state capital, USNA, proximity to major urban centers.
What are your locality’s top three “selling points” for future growth?
Innovative technology with over 10,000 employees in the tech industry and nearly 750 tech companies. Premier location with one of the busiest airports in the country (BWI) boasting over $9B in economic impact. 534 miles of coastline, 70 county parks, and 7 national blue ribbon schools of excellence making it a wonderful place to live.
