Explain your role within your organization.
Contract management and delivery of business consulting services in the areas of strategy (e.g. technology transfer, new product introduction, turnarounds, startups), best practices (e.g., lean six sigma, project management, supply chain management), and right people (e.g., organizational development, performance management).
What role does your organization play in expanding economic opportunity?
Historically I have already supported Charles County in successfully retaining a local business needing new facilities (had been courted by the state of Delaware).
Historically I have already pre-screened and developed a local supply chain for a California company looking to create manufacturing capability in Maryland. Currently qualifying prototype production in Montgomery County.
In addition, I have supported numerous startup companies in Maryland through various mentoring services (e.g., Maryland Tech Council Venture Mentoring Services, TEDCO MERL program, and others).
How has MEDA impacted you or your organization?
Am currently a newcomer to the MEDA organization this year!
If you could wave a magic wand, what would you want to work with MEDA on to move Maryland forward?
Accelerate sustainable startups through the Maryland entrepreneurial ecosystem, and retain/expand existing enterprises by improving their operations.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with MEDA and your fellow members?
Delighted to have previously worked with the folks at Charles County Department of Economic Development and the state of Maryland Department of Commerce Regional Manager to successfully retain and expand jobs in Maryland.
