For twelve years, I was employed with the Maryland Department of Commerce when it was Maryland Business and Economic Development. In this role of Senior Business Development Representative, I worked with businesses and economic development offices across the entire State.
What are your key priorities within your current position?
Outreach, recruiting, and program oversight for the apprenticeship functions of the College. Develop pools of registered employers for the creation of new and existing apprenticeship occupations. Serve as the employers’ point of contact and as the liaison with State, Local, and Businesses organizations.
Does one particular project spark your excitement? If so, describe it below.
Carroll Community College is expanding their apprenticeship programs by creating the Ratcliffe Applied Technology & Trades Center. This state-of-the-art facility will offer training programs in fields such as welding, automotive technology, HVAC, manufacturing , plumbing, carpentry, and entrepreneurship. This project is particularly exciting to me because the center will be located in Hampstead.
