UPDATE on GUIDELINES – Testimony Sign-up & Submission Timeline

2022 HOUSE

For bills being heard on Thursdays, witness sign-up for the House will be opened online through the General Assembly website on the Tuesday prior beginning at 8 am and ending at 3 pm.  Pay close attention to the timeframe (see chart below for reference). Late sign-ups are not allowed.

Witness sign-up will be opened online through the General Assembly website 48 hours before the bill hearing beginning at 8 am until 3 pm. Witnesses can sign up on Thursdays for Monday hearings and Fridays for Tuesday hearings. Pay close attention to the 48 hour sign-up timeframe. Late sign-ups are not allowed. Written testimony must also be submitted 48 hours in advance. You will need a “MyMGA” account to sign-up to testify and submit written testimony. See link below.

2022 SENATE

For bills being heard on Wednesdays, witness sign-up for the Senate will be opened online through the General Assembly website beginning on the Tuesday prior, beginning at 4 pm and ending at 10 am on Wednesday, March 9^th.  Pay close attention to the timeframe (see chart below for reference). Late sign-ups are not allowed.

Beginning, February 14^th, committee hearings and briefings will be held in person. Witness sign-up will begin the business day before the hearing at 4:00 p.m. and end the morning of the hearing at 10:00 a.m. Witnesses providing written testimony must submit their testimony through the General Assembly website.  Please note that if a witness is a sponsor witness, the witness should indicate that you are providing written and oral testimony.  Late sign-ups are not allowed.  All witnesses, including sponsor witnesses, still must sign up to testify through their “MyMGA” account. See link below.
